In a bit of amusing irony, a National Emergency Alert System is set to launch by the end of this year in New York City and Washington, DC. According to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, this is to allow the Government to send text messages warning of disasters.

- So MeanGene your telling me I can carry arms it's in the Constitution. Not at all. The Second Amendment defines the reason as being necessary to the security of a free State. Anything which threatens that security (say, a convicted killer with a gun) is not covered by the Second Amendment.
